URGENT: The Wall Street Journal Internship Deadline is Nov. 1!!

INTERN APPLICATION PROCESS—DEADLINE: NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 1

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL (U.S.)

Internships are aimed at undergraduates or recent graduates who intend a career in journalism. To apply for this internship please submit a cover letter, resume and six to eight writing samples. We will select about 15 interns for the summer 2011 program. The selection process is highly competitive and most of those chosen have had prior internships with other newspapers as well as extensive experience on a campus newspaper. The internships are for ten-week periods in June, July and August. The pay is $700.00 a week.

The screening process puts heavy emphasis on clips and journalistic experience. Only the applicants who are selected for final consideration will be contacted. We will complete the selection process by the end of December.

ART INTERNS: We also accept photo, infographics, video and art internship applications. Applicants should include samples of their work. Video applicants should email links to their videos or portfolios to a.najberg@wsj.com.

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL EUROPE

The Journal's European edition, The Wall Street Journal Europe, also usually takes a reporting intern to be based in Europe. The application must be postmarked by November 1. To apply please send a cover letter, resume and six to eight writing samples to:

In addition to meeting all the application requirements cited in the WSJ description above, the Journal Europe is also looking for candidates with fluency in one or more of these European languages: French, German, Dutch, or Russian; a demonstrable interest in Europe as well as the willingness and ability to work in an overseas environment. The selected candidates will work in one of WSJ's European bureaus and will be required to provide proof of health insurance. They will be required to pay for their own round-trip airfare. The pay is $700 a week.



THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ASIA

The Journal's Asian edition is looking for a reporting intern to be based in Hong Kong. The materials must be postmarked or received into our email inbox no later than November 1. To apply please send a cover letter, resume and six to eight writing samples to:

The selected candidates will work at The Asian Journal's Hong Kong headquarters and will be provided with $700 a week and an allowance for round-trip airfare to Hong Kong.
