Position: Intern, Marketplace Tech Report
Requisition: 511-11
Description: The intern will be part of the Marketplace Tech Report team and work on the daily production of the radio show and online presence. The person in this position will work with the host and producer to dig through tech news, doggedly pursue the most illuminating and compelling thinkers on timely subjects and quickly turn around interviews for the radio show and website. The production schedule is fast-paced and therefore requires a motivated, self-starter who is able to sniff out a good news story, ask relevant and forward-thinking questions as well as produce digital audio and, when the news demands, help the show completely change direction with little warning to make the best story for our audience.

Duties will include researching stories, booking guests and assisting with daily production.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in news gathering and writing.
- Experience in editing digital audio

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Keen knowledge of current events and tech-related news
- Pro Tools and audio production skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently with limited direct supervision
- Ability to maintain productive and positive communication with co-workers
- Basic copy editing skills and knowledge of AP style.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Passion for news and knowledge of current events from following the news daily.
- Excellent language skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading

This position pays $10/hour. Parking or bus pass reimbursed.
