Looking for an internship in news that’s more than pouring coffee?
WEIU will give 15 qualified upper-class students a full-time, hands-on internship to create television news for our 5:30pm weeknight news broadcast.

Through the WEIU-TV News Summer Intern Program, every intern works full-time Monday-Friday to prepare, create and deliver broadcast news.
Interns will fill positions such as - Assignment Editor - Writer - Videographer - Reporter - Editor - Producer - Director - News Anchor - Sports Anchor - Weathercaster.
The internship includes:
free apartment housing
$50/week cash stipend
Report in May for two weeks of intensive training then it's on-the-air through August (subject to change).
Learn from veteran news director with a decade of commercial news experience.

Printed resume and application should be mailed to Kelly Runyon.
Deadline: January 12, 2009
Finalists will be chosen by: February 2, 2009
Finalists will be required to submit a resume videotape which will be due by: February 23, 2009
Interns selected for the program will be notified by: March 16, 2009
